Job Description and objectives:
1. Play a key role in the work focused on improving HIV care and prevention among the elderly population through digital health services.
2. Will work closely with healthcare providers, large public health organizations, and the Research and Data Administrator to ensure the quality of study data.
3. To be responsible for managing the study data collection and reporting formats, entering paper-based clinical forms into the REDcap study database, and providing troubleshooting support for the digital health app.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that project activities are carried out in accordance with ethical guidelines and standards.
- Work with the digital health team to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with the Study and Data Coordinator and other members of the study team to collect, process, and analyze project data.
- Participate in team work, team meetings and provide input on project data.
- Participate in reviews of established standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data management.
- Lead data collection activities, such as participant registration and questionnaires as needed. Required skills
- Lead the daily coordination and management of data related to studies and digital health applications operating at the site level.
- Check for completeness in source documents and consistency between paper based records and REDCap data.
- Continue to review daily lead data to ensure completion of data error checks on paper forms.
- Extract data from electronic health records or tablet-based data into REDCap.
- Ensure completeness, validity, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of electronic health record and/or tablet-based data.
- Evaluate data and check for inconsistencies, duplications, or missing data on a weekly basis. Meet monthly with the statistician to review data and resolve any issues with data quality, aggregation, and freezing.
- Train healthcare professionals and key stakeholders on the use of the digital health device, with support from the Study and Data Coordinator.
Job Requirements:
Competencies (Core Requirements)
- Maintain good communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Experience with Microsoft, Excel, Access, MS SQL Server, MySQL, electronic medical record systems, and REDcap Sensitivity to cultural and social issues affecting senior populations in HIV care and prevention.
- Knowledge of ethical considerations associated with working with senior populations and vulnerable populations.
- Strong understanding of digital health technologies and their applications in healthcare settings.
- Showed ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Education and Experiences
- Posseses Bachelors Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Having experiences in human subject protection and good clinical practice training.
