AFRODAD Internship Program

The AFRODAD Internship Program 2026 is now accepting applications for it is  January to June 2026 session. This initiative offers young professionals and recent graduates an excellent opportunity to acquire practical experience in areas such as policy advocacy, research, communications, finance, and development work.

Interns will work closely with the African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD) is a leading Pan-African organization dedicated to promoting sound debt management, economic justice, and sustainable development across the continent.

This AFRODAD internship is best suited for those who are passionate about Africans economic transformation, good governance, and inclusive growth.

About African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD)

The African Union and the Network for Debt and Development (AFRODAD) is a Pan-African civil society organization with national partners in Sixteen (16) African countries and Three (3) regional economic blocs.

AFRODAD mission is to promote public accountability on public debt to strengthen accountability, governance, and enhance inter-governmental debt sustainability in Africa.

AFRODAD work to ensure that Africa does not fall into debt trap and focus on influencing African governments to formulate and implement policies and actions for sustainable development and poverty eradication through the continued implementation of sustainable debt policies; transparent, accountable, and effective mechanisms for mobilizing and utilizing domestic resources; and the effective use of international public funds.

What you will Learn in AFRODAD Internship Programme 

  • Practical experience in policy analysis, public advocacy, and campaign coordination.
  • Passionate about contributing to the work of Pan-African Civil Society Organizations.
  • Strengthened abilities in data analysis, research, writing, and public presentation.
  • Familiar with key topics related to Africans economic growth, debt sustainability, and fiscal management.

AFRODAD Internship Programme Eligibility Criteria 

1. Must possess bachelors degree in one of the following disciplines below:

  • Administration 
  • Communications
  • Data Science
  • Development Economics
  • Economics
  • Finance
  • Human Resource
  • International Development
  • International Relations
  • Law
  • Statistics

2. Must have a strong analytical skills and written skills and as well as strong public speaker

3.  Must have good understanding of African perspectives on development and finance and passion to advance Africans agenda on the international stage,

4. Must have ability to work remotely where necessary. 

5. Must have Proficiency/Fluency in English and or French.

6. Must have desire and effort to learn and grow professionally.

NB: Interns are required to have their own laptops and always have access to stable network (Internet)
