The Police Service Commission (PSC), in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), announces the official commencement of the recruitment exercise for Fifty Thousand (50,000) Police Constables. This follows the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, aimed at boosting community policing, improving internal security, and increasing the personnel strength of the Nigeria Police Force.

In line with this directive, the Commission has approved the activation of the recruitment portal for qualified Nigerians who wish to apply.

Nigeria Police 2025 Recruitment Qualifications and Requirements

General Duty Applicants

Must possess GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, or an equivalent certificate.
A minimum of five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.

Specialist Applicants

Must have GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, or an equivalent certificate.
A minimum of four (4) credits, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
Must have at least three (3) years of relevant work experience and the required Trade Test certifications.

Nigeria Police 2025 Recruitment Requirements

Applicants must:

Be Nigerian citizens by birth
Fall within the age range of 18-25 years for General Duty and 18-28 years for Specialist positions
Be medically, physically and mentally fit
For General Duty meet the minimum height requirement of 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females
Fulfill all additional conditions that will be outlined on the recruitment portal
