TVET Batch B 2026 Registration Portal: Requirements and How to Apply

The Federal government through the Federal Ministry of Education has officially scheduled to reopen the application portal on April 13th, 2026 for the TVET batch B registration 2026. 

The Federal government planned to reopen the application portal to give eligible Nigerians another opportunity to apply for the Federal Ministry of Education TVET Initiative. Eligible Nigerians who have missed the first phase of the initiatives should take the advantage to apply as early as possible.

This Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) application portal 2026 reopening is a major opportunity for eligible Nigerians youth, school leavers and aspiring entrepreneurs to gain industry relevant vocational skills, access to a free training and receive financial support to startup their careers.

The selected participants of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiatives will receive a training monthly allowances up to N22,500 until the end of the training duration.

What is the FME TVET Programme?

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Initiative is a Federal government programme designed under the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) aimed at providing financial support and free skill acquisition training across Nigeria.

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Initiative under the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) focuses on:

  • Equipping Nigerians youth with high demand vocational skills
  • Promoting Nigerian youths to be self-employment and entrepreneurship
  • Reducing unemployment in the country through practical training

FG TVET Application Cohort 2

The Federal Government though the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) has reopened application portal for TVET Cohort 2. Previous Pending Applicants and Interested applicants are advised to visit the official portal to complete their registration.

  • Returning applicants (Applicants with pending dashboards) should log in with their existing details to continue their application.
  • New applicants (Applicants who did not applied previous beneficiaries). New applicants are required to create an account and fill the application form with the necessary information.

TVET Batch B 2026 Programmes 

Short-Term Certificate (STC)

1. Duration: Three (6) months duration of the training 

2. Basic Requirements:

  • Applicants NIN (National Identification Number)
  • Applicants BVN (Bank Verification Number)
  • No prior formal education required for this category 

Vocational Education & Innovation (VEI)

1. Duration: One (1) year Duration of the training 

2. Basic Requirements (any one):

  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
  • First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)
  • No prior formal education required
